If this was a friend of Luke's, he was more distrustful of the world and people in it than Luke was. Hild considered this a good thing, a positive trait, but she did not show any sign of approval. When treated with suspicion, Hild tended to give people reason to be suspicious. She remained blank, gaze wide and fixed, and did not show any outwardly friendly, or outwardly negative, reaction.

"Out," she answered obliquely. As on most days, Luke had taken advantage of the slow bookstore traffic to spend time with Spencer, but Hild had no idea where exactly they had taken off to.

"You can wait?" she offered with a polite smile, purely for show.
