Hild examined the blade with polite interest, but she could not help but lift her eyebrow questioningly at him. It looked like a blade, not particularly well cared for, something that would lead to his death rather than his survival. He was either playing with her or there was something more to it.

"It has magic," she guessed. "Is it secret Shadowhunter magic?"
