She had caught the sight of parted lips, that tension in the jaw before one began to speak something they were not sure of the reception of, but he had chosen not to put voice to the thoughts. Though she could guess and suppose at what Spencer would have said, she wanted to know in fact. Though she wished to hear him speak, however, she respected his choice not to. It probably would have spurred something more involved than either had time for, what with weddings and shops.
