No choice may ours to be...

What would completely break your character?
The death of Cian. The death of Begu. The death of Onnen. The death of Hereswith. To never hear from them again or share in their lives. To be truly alone, truly a pawn, hung up and ignored in disuse.

What was the best thing in your character’s life?
Begu becoming her gemæcce.

What was the worst thing in your character’s life?
So far, the loss of Hereswith. The taking of Lindsey and the battle at Tinamutha.

What seemingly insignificant memories stuck with your character?
All of her childhood, when she was truly a child, before her life changed. The sound of Onnen's voice. Cian's smiles and songs. The sound of apples rolling. The feel of sheep grease on her hands. The flash of dragonfly wings. The feel of mud under her toes.

Does your character work so that they can support their hobbies or use their hobbies as a way of filling up the time they aren’t working?
Her hobbies, if they could be called such, keep her alive. Her interest in all things feeds her knowledge, strengthens her as she follows her wyrd. Even her idle moments feed the story of the seer. People speak for her when her mind wanders.

What is your character reluctant to tell people?
The truth.

How does your character feel about sex?
Sometimes it seems as though her womanhood means nothing, and at other times it is a hinge upon which lives turn. She would go mad without Gwladus, but sometimes she looks at Cian and nothing matters.

How many friends does your character have?
Too few, it seems at times, and they all are things other. Begu, but also a lord's daughter. Cian, but also gesith. Gwladus, but also bodywoman and wealh. Fursey, but also priest and Irish prince. Hereswith, but also princess and sister. Onnen, but also mother and lady.

How many friends does your character want?
Number matters in armies. Loyalty matters in friends.

What would your character make a scene in public about?
If it suited her message, her wyrd: anything. Most things require her ice, not her fire.

What would your character give their life for?
Her friends, her family, her household, her people.

What are your character’s major flaws?
Wishing too much for someone to guide her and explain things to her. Believing she does know all, and not seeing what's right in front of her.

What does your character pretend or try to care about?
She cares deeply for her friends, her sister, her mother, her uncle. She cares about people: Cædmon and Bán, the people of her meneswood.

How does the image your character tries to project differ from the image they actually project?
The images coalesce, more often than not. Sometimes her messages are not understood, and sometimes she acts without thinking, but there is always a way to spin the story, beat the weave into place. She is confident as she seems, but not as all-knowing. She will take on more than she should because the moment calls for action, but she can figure out a way to make the pieces fall into place after.

What is your character afraid of?
Loneliness.

What is something most people in your setting do that your character thinks is dumb?
She doesn't judge people in that way. What people do is what they do. It's their wyrd, way of life, or place in the world. Even Cian's boasting and looking (to her) the foolhardy warrior: he is a young warrior, gesith, and these are the games gesiths play at.

Where would your character fall on a politeness/rudeness scale?
Mostly polite, for her heart is full and she has a natural empathy. But she can become consumed in herself, drawn in, and therefore quiet and cool, though not rude. When something truly offends her, she can be sharp, but she prefers to make small tears that fester, itch, and bother, not cut down an enemy.
