The weather was not yet cool but not as hot as it had been only the week before. All the same, Hild had taken care to wrap the cardboard cup in napkins and stopper the lid so that heat would not escape and the latte would still be warm for when Bianca was able to join her.

She chuckled at Bianca's question, assumed the barista had been correct in calling this an amazing drink, and held up the cup for the other girl to take.

"All things in this city are strange," Hild pointed out. "Much more strange than me being your favorite person. I think this very normal. I am very cool."
