Hild laughed at Eowyn's purposeful change of topic. It was good that, despite what her friend named as her own predilection for ruminating, Eowyn could steer the conversation willfully. But most of Hild's latest news had much to do with the previous topic.

"But what to say," she noised thoughtfully. "Part of my interest -- How do they say it here? -- in your love life is because my own has been terribly full. Not love, of course," Hild amended. "Not true love. But it has been a great deal of fun."
